Diogo Mendes Pio’s Expertise Over 14 years in the Aerospace Engineering Area, in the following activities. • Working in the management, mapping, planning and execution of processes. • Experience in sectors such as aeronautics, space, automotive, mining, oil and gas, maritime and civil. • Experience in complex simulations and flows, development of systems for the aerospace and heavy industry, combustion systems, environmental analysis and emissions, aerodynamic and thermal tests, in addition to software creation and computer programming. • Work in Aerospace Engineering with Specialization in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). • Specialist in aerodynamic analysis and flight performance, certification according to EASA CS-23 and flight tests. • Performing analytical comparisons of aircraft using CFD, VLM and Panel simulations. • Development of control and stability analysis tools in 6DoF in Simulink and performance studies in Matlab, from the conceptual phase. • Conducting flow analyses in various regimes and types of physics, such as multiphase, chemical reactions and conjugate heat transfer, in addition to developing combustion mechanisms and systems for burners and heat exchangers. • Support in CFD software (CFD++, MIME, TECPLOT, ENNOVA), transonic flow analysis in CFD and wind tunnel tests, developing air inlets for turbomachinery. • Participation in the construction and development of CFD laboratories, and creation of CFD codes using Fortran/C libraries and parallelization techniques (MPI/OpenMP/CUDA) for analysis of flow and load distribution in rockets, with validation by wind tunnel tests. • Skills in creating methodologies for calculating distributed loads and 2D CFD codes for studying multi-block meshes and load jettison calculations.
